Angeles Crest Highway - Los Angeles County, CA

A great drive. Starts at the 210 Freeway / Highway 2 exit in La Canada Flintridge. Climb up Highway 2 from the foothills to the pine trees for great views and miles and miles of corners. Usually the road is blocked at Islip Saddle, just past the tunnels; in previous years one could drive all the way to Wrightwood. The good news: there is now much less traffic on the road. Get up there early to avoid crowds. Beware of black ice, snow, etc. - the road goes up over 7000' high in places, and is frequently closed after winter storms.
